This website is designed as a resource toolbox filled with tips for managing long COVID in everyday life. Everyone is welcome—and encouraged—to participate (you just need to register).
After five years of living with long COVID, I've discovered a few strategies that help me navigate daily life while avoiding—or at least minimizing—crashes and other unpleasant setbacks. These tips have worked for me (though not always, unfortunately), but they’re not a one-size-fits-all solution for everyone with long COVID. Each of us is different, and COVID has impacted our lives and health in unique ways.
These are simply personal tips. If I mention any medication I take, it’s only because I consulted with doctors first. This is not medical advice (I’m not a medical doctor). Please do not copy any prescriptions: always consult your physician before taking any medication.
Speaking of physicians, I’ve included a whole section on how to present yourself and your long COVID symptoms without alienating your doctor—who may know far less about your condition and the disease than you do. That doesn’t mean the doctor is incompetent—perhaps he simply never treated a COVID long hauler before, or he might still hold biases about a condition sometimes wrongly dismissed as purely psychological.
Lastly, I’m not a native English speaker, so please forgive any mistakes in grammar, spelling, or style (or better, correct me so I can learn).
